t.A.T.u. - Domen Vajevec doll

Artist's Note: Poor Domen's eye got a little f'ed up while transporting him on my flight to Milwaukee. Sorry, Domen! =/

CUSTOM handmade Domen Vajevec (t.A.T.u. bassist) doll.

As my gift to Lena and the guys for the meet-&-greet at the Milwaukee PrideFest show on June 12, 2010, I decided on making each of them a doll! They LOVED them and Lena gave Yulia her doll about a week after the show.

The entire set is handmade from head to toe using no sewing machine. I tried, though. The pieces were just too small and kept moving under the needle. I'm a stickler for precision...so I created extra work for myself, lol.

This project took roughly a month and a half to complete PRIMARILY because I didn't work on them 24/7.

Custom tags were made and attached to the legs of each doll.

The faces were created on Photoshop Elements 8.0 and printed onto iron-on transfers.

The instruments were created using plain and sticky-backed craft felt.
